As we close another year, I like to slow down just a little — reflect, organize, and set the stage for what’s ahead. Whether you’re winding things down with clients, prepping for a fresh start, or simply clearing off your mental desk, keep reading for a three-part mini-plan you can easily follow.
1. Reflect on the year
Think back across 2025:
- What were your biggest wins?
- What kept showing up as a challenge?
- Are there recurring costs, tools, or subscriptions that didn’t serve you?
This reflection helps you focus your energy where it truly matters.
2. Organize now – don’t wait
This quieter moment between the holidays is the perfect time to tackle it.
- Clean out email subscriptions and opt-out of the ones you no longer read.
- Review your business files and archive what’s outdated.
- Categorize and organize expenses now so you’re not scrambling later.
- Tidy your work setup (digital + physical) — sometimes a clean desk unlocks a clear mind.
3. Lay out a simple game plan for next year
When goals are clear and limited in number, the momentum is greater. Ask yourself:
- What are the three big goals I want to hit in 2026? (Maybe more ideal clients, a new service, or smoother internal systems.)
- Block in at least one “personal recharge” window — holiday breaks count!
- Streamline what you can and stay intentional with what you choose to take on.
Ready to take the next step?
If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s that a little intention and organization now can make a big difference later. I hope these ideas help you close out the year feeling less rushed and more prepared — with space to focus on the work (and life) you enjoy most.
